  1. Introduction-
"My home country of Germany is one of the few nations to legalize prostitution. Proponents of legalization argue that all attempts to deal with the sex business have failed and the only option left untried is decriminalization...Legalized prostitution creates the same problems that legalized marijuana does. While prostitution is legal, forced prostitution is not. The latter occurs, and the new German law unintentionally makes it harder to hunt down human traffickers, especially from Eastern Europe and Africa. Similarly, it is harder to combat under-aged prostitution. With legalized marijuana and prostitution, Amsterdam became a magnet for human traffickers, drug traders and petty criminals. This is not the world legalization’s proponents envisioned, but it has happened."

This is Thomas Kleine-Brockhoff's(the Senior Director at the German Marshall Fund of the United States) viewpoint regarding the legalization of prostitution.

  2. Prostitution is a big issue in the United States. Nevada is the only U.S state to allow some legal prostitution. Prostitution may cause many problems in this world. First, because it may cause a lot of woman get infected with STD’s. That’s not the problem, but also parents do not want their children to grow up thinking prostitution is acceptable. Also, many religions think that the act of sex is to be done only under marriage.

  5. Prostitution should be legalized in all 50 states but they should be in a controlled environment, they should be taxable revenue, and the women who do it should be respected.Having a controlled environment makes things safer. With legalizing prostitution taxing would help out the economy. Also prostitutes will be expected to be treated with respect and would not be down graded.

  6. Should prostitution be legal in all 50 of the United States? Yes, it should be legal this could be the only choice that some women may incounter when they can't provide for thier for families or to pay off their bills. It is a career choice for some where they work if they can't get a job somewhere else, or maybe some just enjoy being an entrepreneur; they enjoy being their own boss. Keeping a roof over the house clothes on their backs food on the table or maybe they have children and that is their last resort.

  7. Prostitution may cause many problems in this world. But right now the issue is the united states as you may see. Woman getting infected and parents not allowing it, and also religion being against well that’s a pretty big issue here in U.S. so to save all our troubles prostitution shouldn’t be legalized it would cause to much problem and we already have enough problems.

  8. Prostitution is an act of violence against women which is intrinsically traumatizing. In a study of 475 people in prostitution (including women, men, and the transgendered) from five countries (South Africa, Thailand, Turkey, USA, and Zambia):
62% reported having been raped in prostitution.
73% reported having experienced physical assault in prostitution.
72% were currently or formerly homeless.
92% stated that they wanted to escape prostitution immediately.
Prostitution should be legalize, like this they can talk about what they are really living.

  10. In conclusion people think prostitution is being an entrepreneur, well is not a entrepreneur is a person who organizes and manages any enterprise, especially a business, usually with considerable initiative and risk. This without a doubt a prostitute is not that. Many reasons why, like a said before getting diseases, is risking your health or your life. Also, many families are against that, especially religion type.

  11. Introduction 2-

62 percent reported having been raped in prostitution.
73 percent reported having experienced physical assault in prostitution.83 percent of prostitutes are victims of assault with a weapon.75 percent of women in escort prostitution had attempted suicide. Really....is prostitution a victim-less crime?

  12. Conclusion-

The fact is that no one can deny that human trafficking and prostitution are linked, this link has nothing but reinforced this inevitable viewpoint on prostitution: “It’s wrong, it’s
exploitation.” as well as the message it brings “Women are paid to give pleasure, no more, no less.” Sex is idolized in every sense of the word; the sex industry has made millions upon millions of dollars off dual exploitation. Liberalists and Feminists say that they can do whatever choose with there bodies and the are “commercial sex workers” or that’s it’s an independent business. However changing terminology doesn’t do much, it doesn’t change anything actually….all it is just an attempt to remake our moral universe that pretty much reveals to be nothing more than shallow moral exhibitionism.

  13. Prostitution is known as the oldest profession in the world and i'm not againts the prostitution at all. I think that should be legal in all 50 of the United States for the simple reasons im going to explain right now. Prostitution shoul be legalized because not only could it financially benefit the country. CUold also reduce crime, there are so many reasons why prostitution is illegal in 49 United States today First and foremost many people fell that prostitution shuld stay illegal in order to preserve the morality. Parents do no want their children to grow up thinking that prostitution in acceptable.
Parents do not want to hear their children say when i grow up i want to be a prostitute. Christianity also looks down upon prostitution because according to their beliefs having sex is only to be done when a man and a woman are in loved and married. People say that now that there was inevented prostitution there more cheating men and failed marriage because of the prostitution. And i'm desagree with it because a man can be unfaithful with another woman who in not a prostitute. In my opinion i think that divorce has nothing to do with the prostitution because if the love is tru believe me any prostitute end up with.

  14. Prostitution is the performance of sexual acts for the purpose of gain money. It is considered normal in so cultures. In the U.S. prostitution is considered a criminal act. Many people believe that it is causing many problems to society such as STDs spreads and humans trafficking. Legalizing prostitution can be the solution to control STDs and reduce crime.

  15. Many people find prostitution as an immoral career because the idea of selling their body for money. Others think of it as an underground business that is leading society to the spread of STDs and sex abuse against women and children. Legalizing prostitution can help to reduce the transfer of diseases by regulating medical testing.

  16. 1. Prostitution is the act or practice of engaging in promiscuous sexual relations especially for money. A brothel is a house of prostitution, also known as a bordello, cathouse, whorehouse, sporting house, or gentlemen’s club. Most people have a certain image when it comes to prostitutes and brothels. They assume they are all whores, sluts, and drug addicts. Why not think of them as women? These women have families and friends. Should they not also have the luxury of working in a safe and professional environment? Legalizing more brothels in America can give these women the choice to work in a safe haven rather the grimy streets

  17. 92% of women engaged in prostitution said they wanted to leave prostitution, but couldn't because they lack basic human services such as a home, job training, health care, counseling and treatment for drug or alcohol addiction. Many women should think carefully before getting to a sex career. Prostitution can lead you to an unexpected harm, health risks and long term problems. Prostitution should be illegal because it increases sex trafficking, health problems and it’s immoral.

  18. Prostitution is way too dangerous to be legalized; it causes psychological damage, health risks such as STD’s and others. I strongly believe that prostitution being illegal it will protect our society from catching a diseases and it will also be safer and easier to educate our child to a better future. Would you be secure living and bringing up a family in a society that incurable diseases are being increased over the years?

  19. Introduction:
Prostitution is a worldwide controversial matter, that has been around for many years, Voluntary prostitution is not the problem. But the forced prostitution that goes hand in hand with trafficking is extremely serious, yet not a lot is been done about it. We should think of the Pros of legalizing prostitution verses the cons.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Introduction:
Prostitution is one of the most controversial subjects in the United States. There are many pros and cons to this subject. Should prostitution be legalized? Or should it stay illegal with no chance of becoming descriminalized? After all is one the oldest professions.

    ReplyDelete
  21. Conclusion:
Prostitution is one of the oldest profession in history; it is also unlikely that it will be dissapearing any time soon. The major cause for the existence of the trade is that men have been socialized to view sex as commodity that they can buy, and women as objects whose sole purpose is to provide their sexual gratification. So longs as there are men who are willing to pay for sex there will be women willing to provide it.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Conclusion:
In conclusion, prostitution should be legalized. The legalization of prostitution has been tried and it has bee proven that it works. Whether it's legal or not prostitution will always exist. By regulating prostitution there will be no longer pimps. The streets will be safer if prostitution is legalized. Instead of spending millions of dollars fighting prostitution we could spend millions of dollars supporting the industry.

  23. Female prostitutes are at risk of violent crime, as well as possibly at higher risk of occupational mortality than any other group of women ever studied. For example, the homicide rate for female prostitutes was estimated to be 204 per 100,000.which is considerably higher than that for the next riskiest occupations in the United States during a similar period (4 per 100,000 for female liquor store workers and 29 per 100,000 for male taxicab drivers)

  24. Finally, Prostitution is listed among the crimes some refer to as victimless or consensual crimes, because no one present at the crime is unwilling, but research shows that may not be the true picture of prostitution.
In most countries, prostitution exchanging money for sex among adults,is legal. It is illegal in only a few countries, in the United States (except for ten counties in the state of Nevada), India, Argentina, some Muslim and Communist countries. The reason it is legal is the general attitude that prostitution does no harm, has no victims, and is sex among consenting adults

  25. Finally, Prostitution should be legal. These people must have the same opportunity as others. we are all human and everyone makes mistakes, if these people decided to get this kind of work, they will have their reasons and we are not one to judging them. Someday they will open their eyes and they will quit this lifestyle

  26. In conclusion prostitution should be legalized. Its a business why should this one be shunned. If this career is keeping the female population having a steady amount of income coming in why stop it. In prostitution you know the risk when joining. "Prostitution is one of the oldest profession in history."

  27. "A sex worker's life is filled with violence from clients and police; with discrimination and scorn from the general public; with drug addiction, homelessness and lack of health services." Those are a few ways to discribe prostitution and this is why they should outlaw prostitution to keep these people off the streets where the real harm is.By stopping prostitution we will be keeping our streets less harmful for our children, No child wants to see their mother enter a strangers vehicle. Yes, it is an easy way to make quick money but at what cost becoming homeless, beaten, addiction to drugs, or worse catch an STD.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Conclusion 2

"While many sex workers do see their work as empowering and feminist, the reality is that the vast majority of sex workers are doing it for the money, often to feed drug habits, often because they feel they have no other viable employment opportunities." Many of these women when they begin this line of work don't realize what they are going to be putting their bodies through. Prostitution isn't a career its a lifestyle for some of these women, some of the get into deep and when they try to get out that can't see that light in the end of the tunnel.
"Women need to be taught that their body isn’t an offering or a sacrifice."

  34. Conclusion 2 -

In Conclusion even if a prostitute was checked every week for HIV, she will test negative for the first 4-6 weeks and possibly the first 12 weeks after being infected. If we assume that he or she takes only 4 weeks to become positive, because there is an additional lag time between the 1-2 weeks the prostitute to get the results back, there would be at least the best window for the prostitute. We also have to consider that the average prostitute services around between 10-15 clients per day. This means that while the test is becoming positive and the results are becoming known, that prostitute may expose up to 630 clients to HIV. This is under the best of circumstances with testing every week and a four-week window period.

"We're entreperneurs; we're in a business for ourselves," said Ms Taylor a Bunny Ranch prostitute.Altough it is not the best job it brings moeny to someones pocket. Most people do the job but only for the money, not because they actually enjoy the job. Prostitution is a job and its not always secured that you'll make money because coustomers may fear getting arrested for buying a prostitute. If legalized many people would take the services knowing they will not get introuble for it.

  36. conclusion 2
Prostitution is always going to be a big issue.Legalizing prostitution would make it easier for these women to make money comfortable. There also would be less crimes because prostitution has a big roll on crime. Prostitution is a big form a business and if legalized it would make much more money and help out the economy.
